2 Lashker militants arrested and 1surrender in JK
Srinagar, Feb 12: Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested two militants of Pakistan based Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) while one self styled commander surrendered along with arms and ammunition in the valley.
A police spokesman said that a police party acting on a tip-off conducted search operation in a village in the central Kashmir district of Badgam last evening.
During the operation two LeT militants Hilal Ahmed Mir and Mohammed Iqbal Najar, resident of Sopore, were arrested.
He said Mohammed Asif Bhat, batallion commander of a militant outfit, surrendered alongwith two AK 47 rifles, six magazines, 160 rounds, one Hand Grenade and one Kenwood wireless set.
