Unseasonal rainfall damage crops in MP
Shajapur, MP, Feb 11 (UNI) Unseasonal rainfall and hailstorm in the past two days has caused loss to farmers in the area with the crops of pulses, wheat, oranges and coriander, which had matured, being affected.
According to official information, orange crop had been damaged in more than 20 villages in Nalkheda and Aagar tahsil. Preliminary guess put the loss to around 25-30 per cent. Exact loss was being worked out by the Revenue Department.
Rainfall and hailstorm had lashed these rural areas for more than half an hour causing severe damages to crops.
