Tight security at AP Assembly premises
Hyderabad, Feb 11 (UNI) The city police has made tight security arrangements at the Assembly premises in view of threat from naxals during the Budget Session which begins tomorrow.
The AP Special Police (APSP), Intelligence Department and District Police totalling more than 1000 police personnel were deployed at the Assembly premises on security duty.
Besides, water canons, electronic survillence and sophisticated equipment have been kept ready.
Meanwhile, Speaker KR Suresh Reddy convened a meeting with the police officials at Assembly and reviewed the security arrangements.
State Director General Police (DGP) M A Basith, City police Commissioner Balwindher Singh and DCPs of City Police Zones were present.
