Three women killed in accident

Srikalahasthi, Andhra Pradesh, Feb 11 (UNI) Three women were killed and three others injured when an auto in which they were travelling collided with a sugar cane laden lorry at Mallikarjuna Naidu Nagar near here today.

According to Police Sub Inspector K Nagaraju the mishap occured when the auto, carrying six passengers, proceeding to Srikalahasthi from Tanggallapalle village collided with a sugar cane lorry which was coming in the opposite direction. Three passegers were killed on the spot and three others including the auto driver were injured.

The injured persons were admitted at Srikalahasthi Government Hospital.

The deceased were identified as Ch Chanchuamma (42), A Bujjuamma (35) and G Papulamma (30).

The lorry driver absconded and a case was registered, the SI added.
