SHO held for accepting bribe
Panna, MP, Feb 11 (UNI) A Station House Officer has been caught red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 1.47 lakh by Lokayukta Police.
A special Lokayukta team led by Lokayukta Deputy Superintendent of Police Abhay Singh nabbed Sunwani SHO Maharaj Singh Tekam while accepting the bribe at a murder accused, Ratan Patel's home last night in this district's Dhurra village. The SHO has been line attached.
Lokayukta sources said eight people were named accused in the murder of Arjun Singh Thakur, who was killed on January 29. Two accused were arrested, while six others, including Ratan Patel, were absconding. The SHO was accepting bribe in connection with this case.
The property of the SHO was being probed.
