Pondy: Freedom fighter Singaravelar remembered

Puducherry, Feb 11: Floral tributes were paid to freedom fighter Sindanai Sirppi Singaravelar on his 61st death anniversary here today.

Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy garlanded the statue of the freedom fighter on behalf of the Territorial Administration to mark the occasion.

Legislators S P Sivakumar and R Siva, PMK parliamentary party leader Prof M Ramadass, CPI (M) secretary V Perumal were among others who garlanded the statue.

Several fishermen organisations also garlanded the statue.
