Case against DMK functionary

Tiruchirapalli, Feb 11 (UNI) Police today registered a case against an ex-secretary of DMK youth wing for allegedly intimidating the government sand quarry manager by misusing the names of State Local Administration Minister, Senior DMK Leader M K Stalin and Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr Shanmughanathan.

Police sources said here K Nagaraj, who was the ex-secretary of DMK youth wing of Thottiyam, had lifted 250 loads of sand from the government quarry at Kariyamanickam in the last one year and did not pay the dues amounting to Rs 1.62 lakh.

When Manager Giridharan asked for payment, it was alleged that Mr Nagaraj misused the names of Mr Stalin and Mr Shanmughanathan and threatened him.

Based on a complaint, police registered a case against Nagaraj and were investigating.
