Buddha's statue in police station

Kancheepuram, Feb 11 (UNI) A three-foot high Buddha statue is the cynosure of all eyes at a police station here with poojas being perfomed everyday.

The idol was unveiled in 1992 by the then IG Walter Devaram at the Siva Kanchi Police Station. Since then, daily poojas have been performed to the idol.

A number of tourists and foreigners make it a point to visit the police station to take a look at this rare sight.
