Bangladesh main airport shut after aborted takeoff
DHAKA, Feb 11 (Reuters) Bangladesh's main international airport was closed today after several wheels burst on a Boeing 747 as it attempted to take-off, officials at Zia International Airport in Dhaka said.
The Saudi Arabian Airlines flight with nearly 400 passengers on board was forced to abort its 0815 IST take-off for Riyadh and return to the terminal buildings.
''God blessed that no casualty was reported,'' a security official said without giving further details.
Other airport officials said efforts were being put to clear the airport's single runway.
