All satellites fine: Scientist

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 11 (UNI) Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) Director V N Suresh said all four satellites launched yesterday by the PSLV C7 had been placed in the orbit and were ''healthy.'' Talking to mediapersons at the airport after his return from Sriharikota, Dr Suresh said ''the operations have already started and solar panels deployed. The first pictures will possibly come from tomorrow morning.'' The first picture will be of Delhi and followed by Goa. On the Space Craft Recovery Experiment, he said ''it is in the orbit right now and if everything goes well, on the 12th day we will recover it 140 km east of Sriharikota.'' Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre Director R V Perumal said many new technologies used in the launching would help in the reuse of the launch vehicle.

Mr Perumal said ''we have good prospects both in launch services and building satellites and also selling satellite services like Remote Sensing Services.'' The next launch would be for commercial purpose, he added.
