A P Budget session begins tomorrow

Hyderabad, Feb 11 (UNI) Budget session of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly beginning tomorrow, is likely to be dominated by several issues including GO 610, assigned lands and backwardness in Telangana region.

Governor Rameshwar Thakur would address the Assembly twice-- on the opening day of the session and on the joint session with the Council, by the end of March.

The ruling Congress and the Opposition parties are busy honing their strategies for the six-week long session. The Opposition parties are set to attack the government on issues like takeover and distribution of government assigned lands, poor budgetary allocation for social welfare and inadequate power supply.

The Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) may storm the session demanding statehood for Telangana and raise the issue of GO 610, providing job opportunities to them.

The Left parties were planning to raise the issues such as land distribution and allocations for backward communities.
