150 AIADMK men held

Kancheepuram, Feb 11 (UNI) As many as 150 AIADMK volunteers including Party MLA K Hari were arrested today when they attempted to open rice gruel centres for weavers of the district.

Following directions from AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa, the partymen decided to open the centres to distribute gruel to cooperative weavers who had been suffering for the past eight months from lack of work.

However, police arrested the partymen including Mr Hari, Former Miister V Somasundaram and Former MP Kanchi Panneerselvam and produced them before a local court which remanded them in custody.
