Turkish police seize 565 kg of heroin-agency

ISTANBUL, Feb 10 (Reuters) Turkish police have seized 565 kg (1,250 lb) of heroin at a Turkish border crossing with Bulgaria, the semi official Anatolian Agency said today.

The narcotics were headed for Holland, it said.

Officials at Europol and Amsterdam police would not give the European street value of the haul.

The heroin was hidden inside a tractor trailer, and 14 people were arrested at the scene on Thursday, Anatolian said.
