Six CPI(ML) Janasakthi naxals arrested

Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, Feb 10 (UNI) Six CPI(ML) Janasakthi naxalites, including a woman, were arrested from a house at Jeevakona area in Tirupati of Chittoor district today.

Talking to newspersons here, Chittoor District Superintendent of Police Charu Sinha said, on credible information, a police party raided the house of Thyagaraju alias Jayachandra and arrested six CPI(ML) janasakthi naxalites when they assembled in his house for conspiring certain illegal acts against the government and planning to extort money from business people and big contractors in Nellore and Kurnool districts.

Ms Sinha said on interrogation, they revealed that they were planning to attack some political leaders and business people in the coming month to establish their presence against the government.

They have already distributed letters demanding Rs 25 lakh for their party fund, she said. They also confessed to committing murders, she added.

They were identified as Golla Prasanna Babu (29), Pidugu Prathap(27) N Thyagarajulu(35), Gadhalal Munaiah (29), Mallepuvu Sunitha(18) Manchali Harijana Lalapaa.
