Russia would block imposed Kosovo status: Putin
Germany, (Munich) Feb 10: Russia will oppose any move to settle the future status of the breakaway Serb province of Kosovo without the agreement of both Serbs and ethnic Albanians, President Vladimir Putin said today.
''If we see that one of the parties is not happy with the proposed solution, we should not support that decision,'' Putin told an international security conference in Munich.
''We should not impose those agreements on people otherwise we shall come to a stalemate if someone in this difficult process feels hurt,'' said Putin, whose country holds a veto in the UN Security Council.
