YSR's close associate escapes attempt on life

Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, Feb 9 (UNI) One person was killed and two others were seriously injured when an unidentified person opened fire on former MLA C K Babu, a close associate of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, here today.

Police said Mr Babu, however, escaped unhurt in the bid on his life.

The injured were shifted to the government hospital.
