Two smugglers arrested, 8.5 kg charas seized in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 9 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police arrested two persons and seized 8.5 kg of high quality charas in south Kashmir.

A police spokesman said acting on a tip off, a police party raided a number of suspected places at Mattan, in south Kashmir district of Anantnag last night.

During the operation, police arrested Mohammad Saleem Khan and Mohammad Shafi Bhat, he said.

About a dozen smugglers were arrested and several kgs of charas and heroin were recovered by the police in the Kashmir valley during the past two weeks.
