New 1424 Anganwadi centres opens in Tripura

Agartala, Feb 09: The Social Welfare and Social Educationdepartment in Tripura has introduced 1424 more Anganwadi centresthroughout the state.

The Centre in 2006 had given permission to open 2220 such centresin the state following continued pressure from the state government.

There are 524 such centres in North, 506 in South, 903 in West and 287 in Dhalai districts respectively, official sources said.
