New 1424 Anganwadi centres opens in the state

Agartala, Feb 09 (UNI) The Social Welfare and Social Education department in Tripura has introduced 1424 more Anganwadi centres throughout the state.

The Centre in 2006 had given permission to open 2220 such centres in the state following continued pressure from the state government.

There are 524 such centres in North, 506 in South, 903 in West and 287 in Dhalai districts respectively, official sources said.
