MP minister stable in hospital
Indore, Feb 9 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Higher and Technical Education Minister Tukojirao Pawar was reported to be stable after being admitted to the CHL Apollo Hospital here following giddiness and collapse this morning at his residence in Dewas district headquarters.
''There is no cause for concern. The minister complained of chest and back pain and has been placed in the intensive care unit,'' the hospital's Superintendent (Treatment) Rajesh Jain said.
A UNI report from Dewas said that Mr Pawar collapsed in Anand Bhavan at 1030 hrs. He was scheduled to attend a programme in that town.
Mr Pawar was first taken to a hospital in Dewas where Chief Medical Officer Sharad Pandit and specialists, including a cardiologist, examined him.
''The minister is suffering high blood pressure. The fall slightly injured a rib,'' said Dr Pandit.
