Metal prices further ease on poor demand
Mumbai, Feb 9 (UNI) Metal prices today further eased on thin buying support, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.
In the ferrous category, copper heavy and copper utensils declined by Rs 600 and Rs 500 per quintal respectively due to sustain heavy selling pressure. Brass utencil and Brass cutting also slashed by Rs 1000 and Rs 1,500 per quintal beacause of lack of fresh demand.
In the Non-ferrous category, copper wire bars fell by Rs 500 on increased offers by stockists.
Tin slab and Nickel cathode went up by Rs seven and Rs 10 per kg due to lesser stock supply.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 29,000, Copper utensils - Rs 27,000, Brass utensils - Rs 21,500, Brass cuttings - Rs 22,500 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 11,500.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 32,300, Aluminium ingots - Rs 14,200, Zinc slab Rs 17,300, Lead ingots - Rs 7,200, Tin slab - Rs 612 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,880 (per kg).
