Italian PM Romano Prodi on a 2 day visit to India

Chennai, Feb 9: Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi will arrive here tomorrow on a two-day visit to the city.

According to the revised programme, Mr Prodi would arrive fromRome by a special aircraft at 1030 hrs and leave for Bangalore at 1430hrs on February 11, after completing his programmes.

During his stay, the Prime Minister would participate at afunction organised by the University of Madras and deliver theSesquicentennial Commemorative Lecture tomorrow at 1530 hrs.

The Prime Minister would also inaugurate the UNOM-PirandelloResource Centre for Italian Studies and 'The Ancient Rome and IndiaExhibition' at the University tomorrow.

After meeting Indian entrepreneurs and Italian nationals, Mr Prodiwould attend a dinner hosted by Tamil Nadu Governor S S Barnala at RajBhavan tomorrow evening.

On February 11, he would attend mass at St Thomas Church and afterlunch, emplane for Bangalore by a special aircraft at 1430 hrs.
