Dalit killed for praying in temple

Bhind, MP, Feb 9 (UNI) A Dalit youth had to pay with his life for praying at a Shiva temple antagonising the caste-Hindus.

While Radheshyam Jatav(26) was offering prayers at the temple at Dahapura village near Nayagaon in Bhind district on February 4, Dashrath Rathore reached there and prevented him from offering prayers. Radheshyam, who was severely beaten up and kicked, was admitted to a private hospital at Gwalior, where he died yesterday.

Police said the postmortem report was awaited, while the accused was absconding.
