Cloudy sky, cold winds dip day temps in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Feb 9 (UNI) The weather took a turn in the state capital with an overcast sky and cold winds making people shiver here today.
According to Mr S S Singh, director, meteorological department, Jaipur, western disturbances is the reason behind sudden weather change which will continue for the next two days.
He said most districts in Rajasthan will witness rainfall and hailstorm, which will bring down the day temperatures. There would not be any major change in night temperatures.
Jaipur, Bharatpur, Dholpur,Dabok recorded 13 degree Celsius today while it was 14 degree Celsius at Bhilwara, Kota, Bundi.
Among the plains Churu remained the coldest mapping 10 degree Celsius, while state's only hill station recorded 8 degree Celsius.
Alwar recorded 15 degree Celsius while Jhalwar, Swai Madhopur and Jodhpur mapped 18 degree Celsius.
Udaipur was cooler at 12 degree Celsius.
Jaisalmer and Bikaner went up to 17 degree Celsius, while Barmer recorded 18 degree Celsius. Rawatbhata notched up the highest measuring 20 degree Celsius.
The weather office has predicted a cloudy sky with possibility of thunder and rains in all divisions of the state.
