Bush to make March 8-14 Latin America tour
WASHINGTON, Feb 8 (Reuters) US President George W Bush plans a week-long tour of Latin America next month, with visits to Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Guatemala and Mexico, the White House said today.
Bush's March 8-14 trip will include talks with leaders from across the political spectrum in the region, where there have been signs of growing anti-US sentiment.
He will discuss a variety of key issues, including alternative energy with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, drug interdiction efforts with Colombian President Alvaro Uribe and economic ties and illegal immigration with Mexican President Felipe Calderon, officials said.
