Amit Thaker takes over BJP Yuva chief

New Delhi, Feb 9 (UNI) Mr Amit Thaker today took over as the new President of the BJP Yuva Morcha at an impressive function here.

An advocate turned BJP activist Mr Thaker was the General Secretary of the Yuva Morcha from September 2004 and former president of Yuva Morcha in Gujarat before moving on to the national scene.

He takes over from Dharmendra Pradhan in the recent reshuffle effected by BJP President Rajnath Singh.

He said the Yuva Morcha under him will try to channelise the positive energies of the youths who are often given a prescription of dos and don'ts by the political parties.

Mr Thaker who belongs to a middle class family in Gujarat, said he was proud of his background and added the BJP had used youths from common background in building the nation.
