UPA's foreign policy responsible for crisis in Nepal: BJP

Raxaul, Feb 8 (UNI) Bihar BJP today blamed the UPA government for the crisis in Nepal, saying the erring foreign policy of the Centre provided an opportunity for the Maoists to play vital role in power politics in that country.

Addressing a public meeting here, the state BJP president Radhamohan Singh said the Maoists were trying to create a red corridor from Pasupatinath in Nepal to Tirupati in India since long and the chances of their success in this mission has increased following the recent developments in Nepal.

He said the situation in Nepal had deteriorated so much that even the people of Indian origin living there were being often attacked by local people.

Mr Singh lambasted the Left parties for their support to the Maoists in Nepal and said they played a crucial role in the nagotiations between Nepal government and the Maoists which facilitated their easy access to the power.

He called upon the people living, in bordering districts of Nepal along Bihar to remain vigilant to foil the Maoists' attempt to sneak into the country from across the border.
