Kolkata, Feb 8 (UNI) Rejecting Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee's letter for discussion, Opposition Trinamool Congress today demanded that the government should stop land acquisition before starting dialogue with them.

West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee has sent a letter to the Trinamool Congress to discuss land acquisition issues related to industrialisation. ''We have demanded that all the political parties involved in the Krishi Jami Raksha Committee movement should be invited for the dialogue,'' West Bengal Opposition leader Partha Chatterjee told newsmen here.

''We will not agree to any invitation for discussion through letters and it will be possible if the ruling government stop their land acquistion before the dialogue,'' he said.

The Chief Minister has urged the Trinamool Cogress for the fifth time to hold ''across the table'' discussion with the government negotiating on the dispute over acquisition of land in Singur and elsewhere in the state for setting up industries.
