One arrested for transporting detonators, gelitine

Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, Feb 8(UNI) Police arrested one Y Sridhar Reddy while transporting detonators and gelitine sticks in a car last evening in the town, according to Superintendent of Police, East Godavari District B Srinivasulu.

Talking to newspersons here tonight, Mr Srinivasulu said on interrogation Sridhar revealed that he was coordinating with one Satish Reddy in selling explosives. Ramesh, an associate of Sridhar was also arrested earlier. Efforts were on to trace Satish.

Police also seized three bags of ammonium nitrate and wire bundles.

A case has been registered and investigation was underway, he added.
