IT raids textile units in Surat

Surat, Feb 8 (UNI) Central Income Tax department, Surat division, conducted raids upon three major textile units in the city and unearthed tax evation to the tune of crores of rupees, sources said here today.

According to sources, IT officials raided 22 centres of the three prominent textile groups in the city today morning.

Sources said tax evasion worth crores of rupees was detected but determination of the total tax evasion by the groups will take some more days.
