Indian journos' association to conduct media course

Dubai, Feb 8: An association of Indian journalists in Qatar has decided to conduct media leadership course for Indian students in the country.

The course being organised by the Indian Media Professionals Association - Qatar (Impaq) aims to acquaint participants with the functioning of media, especially the print media, to help them become future leaders and also guide those seeking a career in journalism, a press release said.

Each Indian school in Qatar can nominate ten students for the course, preferably from the plus two stream.

Certificates signed by Indian Ambassador George Joseph will be issued to all participants on the completion of the course.

The course will have a minimum of six sessions, each session of two-hour duration, comprising two lectures of 50 minutes each.

The course also include mock press conferences, interviews, writing assignments and visits to newspaper offices etc.
