Heroin worth Rs 3 crore seized, 3 arrested

Moradabad, Feb 8 (UNI) Police seized a quantity of 'superior quality' heroin worth about Rs three crore in the international market and arrested three persons in the city area here.

SSP Ajay Anand said that, acting on a tip-off, a police team nabbed Nanhu Singh, Bhule alias Ajay Kumar and Ulfat at Kath road and recovered two 2 kgs heroin.

The trio were trying to pass on the narcotic consignment to a Delhi-based smuggler, when police swooped upon them, Mr Anand added.

They have been sent to jail and investigations were on.
