Delhi Master Plan 2021 notified by Centre

New Delhi, Feb 8: In what could bring relief to the common man and traders, the Delhi Master Plan 2021 was notified by the Centre late tonight, sources said.

The Master Plan 2021 will be effective from tonight, they said.

With the notification of the Master Plan, the Centre has fulfilled Union Urban Development Minister S Jaipal Reddy's statement yesterday that in a day or two, the Master Plan 2021, incorporating mixed land use norms, would be notified.

The Master Plan is expected to bring tremendous relief to traders who have been facing the sealing squads for the last many months threatening their livelihood, sources said.

The Master Plan is expected to regularise all unauthorised colonies in the national capital, sources added.

It will also provide relief to lakhs of residents in these colonies.

The Master Plan includes in its purview roads which were notified either as mixed use or commercial streets in the September 15 notification of the Delhi government. These will bring relief to the common man, traders and residents, sources added.
