Delhi bags 2 national awards for E-governance

New Delhi, Feb 8 (UNI) Delhi government's Education Directorate has bagged two prestigious awards for E-governance.

The awards were presented to Director of Education in Bhopal during 10th National Conference of E-Government organised jointly by union Ministry of Information Technology and Department of Administrative Reforms.

The directorate bagged the National Golden Award for E-governance for excellence in government process re-engineering in the field of student management system and the National Silver Award for outstanding performance in citizen-centric service delivery.

The awards and certificates were today shown to Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.

Ms Dikshit commended the efforts of the Education Directorate in acquiring excellence.

Education Minister Arvinder Singh, Education Secretary Reena Ray and Director Education Vijay Kumar were present on the occasion.
