Bhanja Sena serves ultimatum, rail roko on Mar 7

Baripada, Feb 8 (UNI) The local outfit Bhanja Sena today served an ultimatum to the railway authority to ensure direct rail connectivity between Baripada and Bhubaneswar before March 7 next, failing which the outfit would resort to a rail roko agitation at Rupsa on March 7 and paralyse train services on Howrah-Chennai rail route.

Bhanja Sena president Kalinga Keshari Jena said they had been demanding extension of the existing train services on the Baripada- Rupsa Broad gauge route up to Bhubaneswar to provide direct rail connectivity between Baripada and the state capital.

But their demands had fallen on deaf ears, he said and observed that they would have no other option but to go for direct agitational path to fulfill the demand.
