Youth shot dead over land dispute

Gonda, Feb 7 (UNI) A youth was killed and two others were severely wounded after they were shot at by a rival group over an old dispute in this district of Uttar Pradesh.

The dispute relating to land in Lathiahi Purva village of Katra area, snowballed into a full-fledged clash last evening.

While Raghav Ram was shot dead, two others were grievously injured after the rival group resorted to firing, police today said.

The wounded were rushed to hospital.

Meanwhile, a local police had been deployed to avoid any fresh violence.

A hunt for the accused was on.
