US based The Pacific Institute forays into India

New Delhi, Feb 7: US-based sourcing advisory solutions firm The Pacific Institute (TPI) has forayed into India in association with consulting firm CGN Associates to offer market intelligence and support services to corporates, non-government organisations and academic institutions.

''TPI intends to leverage the knowledge services expertise that India has started to showcase, offering our clients incisive market intelligence and support services. Opening of our first global centre is representative of the growing role we see India playing in the emerging global services landscape,'' said TPI Chairman Dennis McGuire.

The firm, which launched its first global resource centre early this week in the city is in talks with various government agencies and corporates to offer its services.

''The most important asset of any economy is its people. We have approached the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) to offer our curriculum in the schools, colleges and IAS and IPS courses,'' CGN&Associates Chairman Seshadri Guha said.

The company, operating with a team of 25 professionals in India, is in initial talks with several other companies.

It is also holding seminars for corporates like NTPC, GAIL, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Teleservices, HDFC Standard Life Insurance and HCL among others.
