UP Chief Secy, DGP meet CEC on poll preparedness

New Delhi, Feb 7 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Navin Chandra Bajpai and Director General of Police (DGP) Bua Singh today met Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswamy and discussed various issues pertaining to the preparations for assembly elections in the state.

The hour-long meeting was also attended by the two Election Commissioners Navin Chawla and Dr S Y Quraishi.

According to Election Commission sources issues like deployment and requirement of security forces, total requirement of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Identity Cards came up for discussion.
