Touts arrested; cash, documents seized

Perambalur, Tamil Nadu, Feb 7 (UNI) The sleuths of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) today arrested 14 touts and seized cash and documents at the Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Thaneerpandal area on the Tiruchirapally-Chennai National Highway, here.

DVAC sources said following complaints of corrupt practices in the Office, a special team attached to the Tiruchirapally Directorate conducted a raid and arrested the touts. They also seized Rs 84,000 and some documents.

They were brought here for further investigation, sources added.
