TN, K'taka transport services hit
Salem, Tamil Nadu, Feb 7 (UNI) Bus and lorry services from Tamil Nadu to Karnataka remained suspended for the third day today due to the situation arising out of the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal verdict.
Transport of vegetables from Hosur to Bangalore was also been badly affected.The vehicles carry 50 tonne of vegetables everyday between the two places.
Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu Lorry Owners Association President P Sengodan appealed to lorry owners in the state not to operate the vehicles to Karnataka till calm returned to the state.
Daily transport of goods worth Rs ten crore from Tamil Nadu to Karnataka had been badly hit.
Bus services also were affected. This morning some buses carrying few passengers operated to Tamil Nadu from Bangalore.
