3 killed in suicide attack at Islamabad airport
Islamabad, Feb 7: Three people, including two Airport Security Force (ASF) officials, were killed in a suicide attack at the Islamabad International Airport yesterday night, reports said.
Pakistan's private Geo TV quoted officials and witnesses as saying that the suicide bomber blew himself up after ASF officials stopped him at a security checkpost near the airport's VIP lounge.
This is the fifth suicide attack in Pakistan during the last eleven days, all of which were targeted at the security officials.
The first suicide attack took place near the parking area of a five star hotel in Islamabad on January 26 followed by three more incidents the next day in Peshawar , and Dera Ismail Khan and Tank town in the North Western Frontier Province (NWFP) on January 29 and February 3 respectively.
