Security withdrawal has no malafide intentions: PDP

Jammu, Feb 7 (UNI) People's Democratic Party today said letter for withdrawal of security by former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, party president Mehbooba Mufti and all 24 legislators does not carry any malafide intentions.

Former deputy chief minister and senior leader of PDP Muzzaffar Hussain Baig, while clearing the party position in the Legislative Assembly, said the coalition government is running the affairs with unanimous approach of all its partners.

Mr Baig welcomed the judicial probe regarding killing of innocents in Jammu and Kashmir.

As many as 24 PDP legislators (18 MLAs and 6 MLC) submitted a joint letter to Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad asking for withdrawal of their personal security and the security guards stationed at their residences.

Reiterating pary stand, Mr Baig said it has been a ''consistent view'' of the PDP that a dignified solution to the problems being faced Jammu and Kashmir would only come through dialogue and peaceful means.
