MP govr ayes ministers' resignation

Bhopal, Feb 7 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Governor Balram Jakhar today approved the resignation of Panchayats, Rural Development, Rural Industry and Public Relations Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Public Health Engineering and Social Justice Minister Rampal Singh, Raj Bhavan sources said.

The minister duo had put in their papers to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan after Mr Tomar was elected as the Bharatiya Janata Party's state unit president and Mr Singh emerged victorious in the Vidisha Lok Sabha bypoll. Mr Chouhan recently forwarded the papers for Dr Jakhar's approval.

With this, speculation is rife about a cabinet expansion. It is understood that the chief minister is desirous of undertaking the expansion after the conclusion of the assembly's budget session getting underway on February 19.
