Kumaraswamy briefs K'taka Governor about Cauvery verdict
Bangalore, Feb 7 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy met Governor T N Chaturvedi, who was recuperating in a private hospital after a knee replacement surgery, and briefed him about the final verdict of the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal, here yesterday.
''It was a one-to-one meeting,'' Secretary to Governor Gauri Trivedi told newspersons here today, pleading ignorance about the reaction of the Governor to the verdict.
The Raj Bhavan received memorandum from the State Advocate's Association, Youth Congress and Karnataka Rakshana Vedike against the ''unfair'' deal meted out to Karnataka by the Tribunal, she added.
Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa also met the Governor and briefed him about the pre-budget exercise, yesterday, she said.
