K'taka Governor in good health after surgery

Bangalore, Feb 7 (UNI) Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi, who had undergone a knee replacement surgery on Monday last, is recovering.

Informing this to newspersons here today, Secretary to Governor Gauri Trivedi said the Governor, who was admitted to a private hospital here on Sunday last, had undergone the curative surgery successfully on his right leg and was recovering well. He was also attending visitors.

She said the doctors attending the Governor had recommended his stay in hospital for a couple of days. He was expected to return to Raj Bhavan this weekend.

Dr H P C Khincha, who had performed the surgery, said the Governor met with an accident 20 years ago, damaging the Tibin in the right leg. As it was causing discomfort, he underwent a surgery.

He said the Governor was in good health and spirits and was expected to return home this weekend.
