'Internet use necessary to expand business'
Ahmedabad, Feb 7 (UNI) It has become inevitable for businessmen to place detailed information about their products and services on internet for marketing across the world, according to Gujarat High Court senior advocate Bhaskar Tanna.
Mr Tanna was speaking at a programme organised by the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry on ''Cyber Space: Is Gujarat Lagging Behind''.
He said competition has increased in the free trade era therefore we should make maximum use of the knowledge based programmes and services to access world markets.
While referring to the ''google'' site, he said that its 3.8 crore search engines are utilised by crores of traders and industrialists and receives four billion trade inquiries.
Regarding the observation by Sam Pitroda that state is lagging behind in the IT sector mainly because of neglect of English education, he advised the state government to change its mindset of not parting with information and provide maxiumum information on its website regarding the government's initiative in this regard.
