Female naxals slain

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Feb 7 (UNI) Two female naxals have been killed during an encounter in Chhattisgarh's south Bastar region and weapons seized.

''Following a tip-off, a special task force and Central Reserve Police Force personnel surrounded the rebels last evening near a hill in Kalemad village. Retaliatory action slew Jagarguda Area 'Commander' Paparao's wife Shyamli and another ultra,'' Inspector-General Girdharilal Nayak said today.

A .315-bore rifle and a 12-bore gun were seized.
