Delhi to have 3-tier healthcare system
New Delhi, Feb 7 (UNI) Promising to bring healthcare facilities to people's doorsteps, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today said her government is actively considering to implement a three-tier healthcare system in the capital.
Speaking after inaugurating four new blocks in the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital at Mangolpuri in East delhi, she said this would include 200 to 500 bedded hospitals, 100-bedded hospitals and well-equipped dispensaries with mobile health vans.
She also mentioned that Stree Shakti Camps were being organised every month by the state government, which had proved to be beneficial in making women self-sufficient and aware about their rights.
Delhi Health Minister Yoganand Shastri and Development Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan were also present at the occasion.
