Boy falls into panchayat bore well in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, Feb 7 (UNI) Mystery shrouds the fall of a 7-year-old boy today into a grampanchayat bore well, located in Nandasan village of Gujarat's Mehsana district, about 40 km from here.

A boy and a girl of Nandasan Primary School were walking near the well during their recess at 1430 hrs. The girl later said the boy, who was a student of her class, fell into the well.

Ten firebrigade officials have rushed to the spot.

The well, one feet in diameter and 600 feet deep, had been left open for the last couple of days for some repair. The water inside is said to be at a depth of 250 feet.

A camera has been lowered into the bore well to track down the boy.
