Arrest warrants for sex determination

Shivpuri, MP, Feb 7 (UNI) A local court has issued arrest warrants against two nursing homes' directors for sex determination of the foetuses of two pregnant women in violation of the Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Regulation and Prevention of Misuse) Act.

Following an affidavit by Chief Medical and Health Officer Dinesh Kaushal, Chief Judicial Magistrate Ramkumar Choubey yesterday issued the warrants against the Kalpana X-ray and Nursing Home's Dr Bhagwat Bansal and the Verma Nursing Home's Dr Anita Verma.
